I‘m Joe and I’m a Christian, but I don’t live on a compound with all the members of my church, I’ve never thumped anyone over the head with my Bible and I don’t dance with snakes. I don’t stand on street corners yelling, “The end is near.” And Special cool-aid is not served at my church. My pastor doesn’t accept direct deposit and my church don’t audit my books once a year. I don’t call everyone “brother” or “sister” and every time someone says something good I don’t scream “AMEN!” I’m not pointing the finger, life is hard and no one is perfect. I use to wonder, “What makes all those Christians think they are right?” What can Jesus do for me? I use to think that I had to act out all these things to be a Christian, but I realized that isn’t the case at all. I’m Joe and I’m a Christian.
